Digital Marketing Assistant with professional mentoring – Wexford Festival Trust

Wexford Festival Trust is looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Assistant, who will be responsible for the online presence of the Opera Festival and House across all digital channels. Working closely with, and under the supervision of, the Marketing Manager the DMA will be responsible for all e-marketing activities, and the implementation of the company’s comprehensive digital marketing strategy.  Based in Wexford Opera House the successful candidate will have an up-to-the minute knowledge of all aspects of online marketing, excellent communication skills, an interest in the arts generally and the online promotion of live performances in particular, and a willingness to work as part of a small but committed team in delivering all aspects of the online promotion of Wexford Festival Opera and Wexford Opera House.

Ongoing and regular mentoring of the successful candidate by Fred Karlsson, Founder and Managing Director of donedeal.ie and Director at entertainment.ie, will form an integral part of this internship.

Key Responsibilities

1         Ensure the continual development of the Wexford Opera House and Wexford Festival Opera web and social media sites through continuous updating, development and optimisation.

2         Research, write and edit content for websites, social media and e-campaigns in accordance with brand guidelines.

3         Produce and distribute monthly ezines to achieve a target based impact on sales.

4         Plan and implement online advertising campaigns for Wexford Festival Opera.

5         Liaise with the company’s media relations and artistic departments to coordinate digital content.

6         Monitor and track web and social media analytics, and report on the performance and effectiveness of all digital activity.

7         Support the company’s wider marketing, promotion and publicity team.


Preferred Education & Related Experience

1         A third level degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent work experience.

2         Experience in a digital marketing role.

3         Experience in working with web content management systems and managing content for social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and blogs.

4         Experience in interpreting and monitoring analytics for web and social media

5         A demonstrable ability to troubleshoot, multi-task, prioritise deadlines, work independently and take initiative.

6         Experience in search engine optimisation
