Fáilte Ireland in conjunction with Iarnród Éireann have introduced a new scheme called ‘Golden Trekker’ offering E.U. citizens over the age of 66 free rail travel throughout Ireland. This scheme allows overseas visitors unlimited travel on mainline, DART and commuter trains. Tourists can access the scheme to obtain a ‘Golden Trekker’ pass by visiting the Fáilte Ireland website before their arrival in Ireland.
