- ‘Ghosts of Versailles’ wins ‘Best Opera Production’ in Irish Times Theatre Award
- Wexford Festival Opera’s 2009 production of ‘The Ghosts of Versailles’ by John Corigliano was awarded ‘Best Opera Production’ at the Irish Times Theatre Awards ceremony in Vicar Street, Dublin. This is the 4th time in the past 5 years that Wexford Festival opera has been awarded ‘Best Opera Production’ with ‘Susannah’ (2005), ‘Transformations’ (2006) and ‘The Mines of Sulphur’ (2008) also being awarded this highly-regarded accolade.
