Wexford Festival Opera hits a high note for Wexford’s Culture Night
Make sure to come along to Wexford Opera House at 7pm this Friday Night (Sept 24) to get a sneak-peak (or listen) to 3 Tenors from this year’s fantastic line-up at the 59th Wexford Festival Opera! 20 minutes of stunning, playful and passionate performances – all for free. Wexford ‘Culture Night’ is part of the National Culture Night Campaign, that sees venues all over the country opening up for a taste of cultural events for all ages. Culture Night is an initiative co-ordinated by Temple Bar Cultural Trust and supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport in partnership with Wexford Borough Council and Wexford County Council.
The first Wexford Culture Night took place last year and was a resounding success. Wexford Festival Opera, although in the midst of an intensive rehearsal schedule (often lasting from 9:30 in the morning til 9:30 in the evening) in the run-up to the opening of the festival on Saturday, October 16, are delighted to be a part of this marvellous event. Artistic Director David Agler has made special arrangements for a few of the singers to be excused from their busy rehearsal schedule that evening to perform for the people of Wexford.
