Wexford Opera House extends ‘Open Day’ due to overwhelming demand

Due to an overwhelming response from the public, Wexford Opera House has announced extended opening hours for its ‘Open Day’ which takes place on Sunday, 7 September 2008.

Shortly after the release of tickets the free event was completely sold out, prompting the management of Wexford Opera House to extend the Open Day by a further three hours. Now 300 more people can view Wexford’s state-of-the-art Opera House, Ireland’s first.

Tours will now run for a full 12 hours from 9am to 9pm on Sunday, September 7, 2008, with the last tour taking place at 8pm.

Each tour will last one hour. It will cover the main areas of the building, including the O’Reilly Theatre and Jerome Hynes Theatre, the public bars and hospitality areas, including the panoramic view over-looking Wexford harbour from the McKenzie Room located on the top floor of the Opera House.
