  • La Cenerentola

    Starts: 15:30

      Whites Hotel

Cinderella, the English form of La Cenerentola, was composed in 1817, a year after The Barber of Seville, and contains some of Rossini’s most dazzling vocal writing. The complete title, Cinderella, or Goodness Triumphant, suggests there is more to the story than a handsome prince seeking a beautiful bride.

  • Pre-Opera Talk

    Starts: 19:00

      O'Reilly Theatre

Each evening there will be a talk of approximately 30 minutes' duration about the opera to be performed, giving an opportunity to explore the work more closely. Talks will be given by a range of specialists including academics, composers, directors and musicians.

  • Salomé

    Starts: 20:00

      O'Reilly Theatre

A rarely performed operatic version of Oscar Wilde’s perceptive play about Hérod’s dysfunctional family and the unhappy relationships between Hérod, his second wife Hérodias and his stepdaughter Salomé.
