Wexford Festival Opera is delighted to announce that RTÉ lyric fm presenter Liz Nolan will host the annual Gala Concert which will take place in the O’Reilly Theatre in the National Opera House at 8.30pm on Sunday, 28 October. The Gala Concert is one of the highlights of Wexford Festival Opera and features a collection of favourite party pieces performed by members of the Festival’s cast.
Liz Nolan is one of RTÉ lyric fm’s best known broadcasters and currently presents The Full Score. Liz initially trained in voice, oboe and piano at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama and the Royal Irish Academy of Music. In 2001, RTÉ lyric fm beckoned however and since then, Liz has presented a wealth of key shows including Classic Drive, A World of Song, Lyric Notes and Lunchtime Classics. In addition, she’s researched and presented numerous acclaimed arts features, which received international broadcast. In 2015 she was awarded bronze for Best Overall Music Presenter at the prestigious PPI (now IMRO) Awards.
