With unprecedented demand for tickets for this year’s Wexford Festival Opera, the board of Wexford Festival Trust have announced that they will expand the 2017 Festival from 12 to 18 days, running across three weekends, for the first time since 2008, with next year’s 66th Festival opening on Thursday 19 October and closing on Sunday 5 November. Full details of the daytime and evening performance schedule for the 2017 Festival will be announced later this year.
Meanwhile, with general booking open a mere 5 weeks for the 2016 Festival, sales are extremely strong, showing an extraordinary demand for tickets to this world-renowned Festival, recently nominated for ‘Best Festival’ at this year’s International Opera Awards. Early booking is strongly advised. Bookings can be made online at www.wexfordopera.com or by ringing +353 (0)53 912 2144 or by calling into the box-office at the National Opera House Monday-Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
