Composer in residence

The composer-in-residence fosters and showcases the talent of Irish and international composers to craft composition, re-orchestration, or new commissions, with world-class artists and performers through individualised creative exploration in fully-staged, scened, chamber or short work opera formats. The initiative is directed at composers of all professional levels who see opera as a significant component of their future creative work.

Artist bursaries

The Danone Award for Young Outstanding Female Artist

This award goes to a young female artist performing at Wexford Festival Opera to support their future career endeavours. Building on their long-term sponsorship of WFO, the Danone Young Outstanding Female Award is part of Danone’s much valued partnership with the Festival which began in 2010. The partnership also sees Danone support a main stage production each year.
