The Plot
The plot revolves around the character of Don Pelagio, a choirmaster who is preparing his choir for a performance. However, he is constantly interrupted by various distractions, including his own vanity and a group of singers who are more interested in gossiping than rehearsing. In the end, Don Pelagio's choir fails to perform, and he is left alone to contemplate his own shortcomings as a maestro.
