The Plot

Act I
The Capulet and Montague families feud in Verona. Romeo attends a ball at the Capulet's house and falls in love with Juliette, Tybalt challenges Romeo to a duel.

Act II
Romeo sneaks into the Capulet's garden to see Juliette. They confess their love for each other and plan to marry.

Act III
Tybalt and Mercutio get into a fight and Mercutio is killed. Romeo kills Tybalt in revenge and is banished from Verona. Juliette is devastated by the loss of Tybalt and her separation from Romeo.

Act IV
Juliette's father arranges for her to marry Count Paris. In desperation, Juliette takes a potion that will make her appear dead for 42 hours. Romeo, who believes Juliette is dead, buys poison and goes to her tomb to kill himself.

Act V
Romeo finds Juliette's seemingly lifeless body and drinks the poison. Juliette wakes up to find Romeo dead beside her and stabs herself with his dagger. The feuding families are finally reconciled by the tragic deaths of their children.
