Born in Romania, soprano Corina Ignat completed her master's and bachelor's degrees in Music Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Her operatic roles include Stepmother in Wexford Festival Factory's production of Cinderella, Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Lyric Opera Productions, Clorinda cover in La Cenerentola with Irish National Opera, the Cousin in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly with Lyric Opera Productions, Arminda in Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera and Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Samuel Beckett Theatre.

She performed in the chorus with Glyndebourne, INO and Wexford Festival Opera. She performed several concerts such as "Rising Stars" at Limerick University Concert Hall and soprano solos at the NCH with the Goethe Institute Choir.

Corina has won several prizes including First Prize in the Irené Sandford Competition for Singers and the Geoghegan Cup in the Feis Ceoil 2018.
