Arachas help Wexford Festival Opera deliver winning performances with a new sponsorship of the WFO Orchestra

Yesterday (16 October), Arachas has announced a new partnership with Wexford Festival Opera which will ensure the Festival hits all the right notes this October/November. For the first time, Wexford Festival Opera is welcoming a sponsor of the prestigious WFO Orchestra.
The orchestra plays a pivotal role in bringing the Festival’s opera performances to life. Each year a specially assembled orchestra join together comprising some of the best soloists, recitalists, chamber musicians and principals from music ensembles and distinguished orchestras both in Ireland and around the world.
Led by Orchestra Manager Noel Eccles, who is entering his 35th season with the Festival this year, he shares that what makes the WFO Orchestra special is the wealth of experience and tradition the members bring each year. The comradery and teamwork the orchestral performers uphold each year is something to be admired, collaborating with singers, conductors, and colleagues over an intense 5-week rehearsal and Festival period.

Through this new partnership with Arachas, the Festival will begin to share ‘Stories From The Orchestra’, delving deeper into what makes this orchestra work so well, and how these qualities of collaboration, diversity, inclusion, teamwork and creativity are vital both in the Wexford pit and beyond in many other industries.Peter Mulvany, Managing Director, Retail Division at Arachas said of the partnership, ‘’Today’s announcement is an important one for Arachas and supports one of the most important events in the Wexford cultural calendar. Wexford is an important part of our business and we are keen to support projects that support the local community.”
With the theme of delivering winning performances, the partnership will also provide a platform for members of the public to perform in The National Opera House, as Arachas showcase a public ‘Community Piano’, giving the opportunity for people to stop, play and share their own creativity with the community.
