Peter Hussey named as Wexford Festival Opera’s 2023 Volunteer of the Year

Peter Hussey was awarded the 2023 Ecclesiastical/ Wexford Festival Opera Volunteer of the Year Award on Friday evening (20 October) during the first Public Dress Rehearsal for this year’s Wexford Festival Opera.
Peter was awarded after a public vote by fellow volunteers, board and staff of the Festival.

Peter is very popular among his fellow volunteers. He volunteers in many areas of the Festival including transport, front of house and hospitality. With Peter’s deep knowledge of the Festival and local area he also provides tour guide services both during the Festival and throughout the year.

Chair of the Festival’s Volunteer Committee, Eleanor Modler, said “Peter Hussey can be described as a true gentleman. He takes genuine delight in looking after people. He has a spirit of fun and is a true giver of his time”.
