Lady Gregory in the West | Threshold Festival

Wexford Festival Opera is off to Connemara!
We’re thrilled to be part of the inaugural Threshold Festival presented by the University of Notre Dame at Kylemore. Set against the stunning backdrop of Kylemore Abbey in Connemara, this four-day festival offers a unique opportunity to experience the cultural heritage that inspired one of Ireland's greatest literary figures, William Butler Yeats.
As part of the festival, WFO presents 'Lady Gregory in the West' on Saturday 16 August. It has been specially crafted for the Threshold Festival and features new original text by Colm Tóibín. It is an abridged presentation of the hugely successful Lady Gregory in America, which was presented at last year’s Wexford Festival Opera and marked the third collaboration between Tóibín and composer Alberto Caruso. It is once again directed by Aoife Spillane-Hinks.
