Wexford Festival Opera is pleased to announce auditions for vacant positions in the chorus of our 75th Festival on the following dates:
MANCHESTER - 4th February
LONDON - 5th and 6th February
DUBLIN - 11th February
The 75th Wexford Festival Opera will take place from 15th - 31st October 2026, around the theme of "The Best of: one for the head, one for the heart, one for fun". The festival will feature the chorus in the following three mainstage operas:
- Iris - Pietro Mascagni, 1898 (full chorus)
- L'equivoco stravagante - Gioachino Rossini, 1811 (tenors and basses only)
- The Gambler - Sergei Prokofiev, 1929 (full chorus)
There are also opportunities for chorus members to take on roles in our programme of smaller-scale works:
- The Rose of Castile (Michael William Balfe, 1857)
- Much Ado About Nothing (Charles Villiers Stanford, 1901)
Contracts will run from 9th September - 1st November 2026. Singers are expected to remain in Ireland for the duration.
