Ticketing Update

Following the Government announcement Wexford Festival Opera are now able to increase capacity and are delighted to announced that, after a period of Priority booking for Friends of the Festival, additional tickets will be available for general booking from Monday 13 September.

Subject to current government guidelines, patrons attending must be immune (fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 within previous six months).

Entry to the National Opera House and the auditorium will be conditional on the health guidelines at the time of the performance, and not at the time of ticket purchase.  Any updated conditions of entry will be notified to guests in advance of the performance.  For the health and safety of our staff and all our patrons, we kindly request that guests wear a face mask on arrival at and departure from the National Opera House, and while moving about the venue.  We thank you for your understanding during this unusual time.

Should guidelines change further, or we are permitted to expand the capacity, we will post updates on the website and social media platform (@wexfordopera). Please stay tuned!

Box Office opening hours

The box office is located in the foyer of the National Opera House, High Street, Wexford.
Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 5:00pm. Not open Sundays and Bank Holidays. 
On performance days, the Box Office opens for two hours prior to performances.


How to Book Online

Click on Festival 2021 and choose an event, date and time. Once you have selected an event you will be taken to the secure purchasing section of the site.

Receive priority booking by becoming a Friend of Festival here.



If you already have an account, enter your details in the login section. If you do not already have an account, enter your details in the register section. A valid email address is required to make an online booking. Please note that an * marks a required field.


Payment Details

If you are paying with a voucher, enter your voucher number in the box provided. If you are paying by credit card, enter your details in the relevant boxes. Click on ‘review and confirm.’ You should see the message ‘your order was successfully placed’.


Booking Confirmation and Receipt

The screen will now show your digital receipt, with your booking number and all the booking details. Please note your booking number in case you have any queries about your booking. You can also print your receipt at this stage. You will also receive an email at the address you provided confirming your order and booking details.

The National Opera House is fully wheelchair accessible with space for up to 17 wheelchairs per performance.

An induction loop system for hard of hearing patrons has been installed in the Main Auditorium.
