Let’s sing opera for primary schools

This year, Wexford Festival Opera extended an exciting invitation to primary school children aged between 7-10 years old to become the Wexford Festival chorus for a day and be part of a special school performance of Pagliacci.

Between March and June, the children dedicated themselves to learning their roles, receiving vocal, drama, and movement coaching from vocal and performance specialist Elizabeth Drwal. They experienced the excitement of an orchestra rehearsal under the guidance of conductor Emanuele Quaranta before showcasing their talent with the Pagliacci company in a packed school performance in the National Opera House on the 22nd of October 2024.
