Join Us in Celebrating Sustainable Fashion at this Year’s Festival

Wexford Festival Opera audiences are known for their fashionable attire, so we are encouraging all our audience attending on Thursday, 22 October to join us in making sustainable choices when choosing our evening outfits.
Whether it's borrowing a bow-tie from a family member, raiding your wardrobe for that beautiful dress you wore many years ago, or finding the perfect pair of opera gloves in your local charity or vintage shop - every small change in the way we shop and the choices we make daily can make a big difference!
Enter Our Competition!
As part of this initiative we are giving our audiences the chance to win a pair of tickets to the performance of The Gambler on Thursday, 22 October to celebrate EPA Green Night.
To enter all you have to do is join us on Facebook or Instagram and tell us what sustainable outfit or clothing item you would wear and a brief story behind your choice. Make sure to include #EPAGreenNight and @wexfordfestivalopera and @epaireland (Instagram) / EPA Ireland on Facebook so we see your entry. If you would rather enter by email you can do so with by providing the same information and emailing your entry to alan@wexfordopera.com.
The competition will close on Thursday, 15 October at midday and the winner will be notified after a selection process by WFO and EPA. Examples of a clothing item could be a bow-tie, cuff-links, gloves, jewellery, a bag, shoes and so on.
Outfits do not have to contain the colour green, but wouldn't it be fun if they did?
Last year, Paul Overy, won for his fully sustainable look, from charity shop trousers to borrowing a bow tie from his dad, and to top it off, his winter smart coat: 100% wool, bought on sale in January 1986.
