Claudia Boyle and Pietro Adaini with Orchestra from the 69th Wexford Festival Opera

Irish soprano Claudia Boyle and Sicilian tenor Pietro Adaini join the Wexford Festival Orchestra and conductor Francesco Cilluffo live from the stage of the National Opera House to deliver this very special closing night concert of opera favourites.

Claudia Boyle, whose international career has grown from strength to strength, has previously performed with the Festival as Elena in Il cappello di paglia di Firenze by Nino Rota (2013) and as Célimène in La Cour de Célimène by Ambroise Thomas (2011).

The young Sicilian tenor Pietro Adaini makes his debut with Wexford Festival Opera but has already made quite an impression on the operatic stage in Italy and beyond with Bel Canto repertoire.

Conductor Francesco Cilluffo is best remembered by Wexford audiences for leading the critically-acclaimed operas Guglielmo Ratcliff by Pietro Mascagni (2015), Risurrezione by Franco Alfano (2017), and most recently the double-bill of L’oracolo by Franco Leoni and Mala vita by Umberto Giordano (2018).
The Italian newspaper La Stampa named Francesco Cilluffo as "one of the top young Italian conductors on the international circuit today".
