Soprano Ermonela Jaho, once described in ‘The Economist’, as "the world’s most acclaimed soprano", is the fourth of our Wexford Ambassadors.

In the surroundings of St John’s Smith Square, London, Ermonela, accompanied at the piano by our own Artistic Director, Rosetta Cucchi to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of our magnificent Wexford Festival Opera.

About W4WOMEN

To mark the 70th anniversary of Wexford Festival Opera in 2022 and celebrate outstanding female artists, W4Women was a series of 4 recitals by 4 renowned sopranos from 4 cities from around the world. From Rome to Moscow, from New York to London, audiences had a chance to be part of this landmark celebration.

These concerts, performed by four leading female opera singers, was of the ways that the WFO 70th Anniversary was be marked both at home in Ireland and abroad, in-person and online. In the series, W4WOMEN are connected not only by their link to Wexford but a shared dedication to artistic excellence. Their mission is to spread the name of the Wexford Festival around the world.
