Éadaoin Hassett is a Soprano from Co. Kildare, and a student at the Royal Irish Academy of Music where she has completed both a Masters and Degree in Vocal Performance. During her time at the RIAM, Éadaoin has studied with Prof Virginia Kerr, Mary Brennan and coaches Andrew Synnott, Dearbhla Collins and Brenda Hurley. Éadaoin performed the title role in Ravel's L’Enfant et les Sortilèges (January 2026), and also the roles of ‘La Baronessa’ in Haydn’s ‘La Vera Costanza’ (January 2025), ‘Maguelonne’ in Viardot’s Cendrillon (March 2024), and in scenes as 'Armida' – Handel's Rinaldo, ‘Adele’ - Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, 'First Niece' – Britten's Peter Grimes and 'Cherubino' – Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro whilst studying at the RIAM.
She was recently the recipient of the Trench Award and Bursary at the Birr Festival of Music (May 2026), the Irené Sandford Award for Singers at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (November 2025), and the Deborah Voigt Opera Prize at the Glenarm Festival of Voice (August 2025), along with the title of Northern Ireland Opera's Young Opera Voice of the Year.
Professional engagements include the role of Eileen O’Doherty in a concert performance of Alberto Caruso’s ‘Lady Gregory in America’ (September 2025), various roles in a production of Purcell's 'The Fairy Queen' with Sligo Baroque, the London Handel Players and Croatian Baroque Orchestra (August 2024), Chorus in Irish National Opera’s production of Wagner’s ‘The Flying Dutchman’ (March 2025).
Éadaoin also enjoys song repertoire and has cultivated a strong duo partnership with pianist Oana – Alexandra Lelutiu. The pair have recently been awarded the RIAM Chamber Fest Prize (May 2025) and the Milne Cup at the Feis Ceoil, Dublin (June 2025). They enjoyed the opportunity to perform a recital at Music for Wexford in July 2025. Most recently, she participated in a Collaborative Song Project with The Juilliard School, with performances in both Dublin and New York under the direction of Iain Burnside.
