Timothy Mays is a baritone from Ireland and graduated with a Masters of Music in Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music, where he was a recipient of the Gwilym Gwalchmai Jones Award in 2024. While in RNCM he studied with Professor Mark Wildman and did his undergraduate degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London, where he was a pupil of Professor Robert Alderson.
He began his studies with Professor Alderson at the TU Dublin Conservatoire. Memorable roles to date include Angelotti in Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca (City of Manchester Opera), Aeneas in Errollyn Wallen’s Dido’s Ghost (Trinity Laban Opera), Clerval in Libby Larson’s Frankenstein-the Modern Prometheus (Trinity Laban Opera) and Sharpless in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (North Wales Opera Studio).
Timothy made his London and Dublin recital debut in 2024, premiering his composition ‘Codail go sámh’ for piano, voice and viola.
